Is a baby nest safe?
Yes — for supervised, awake time only. A baby nest is a cosy spot for cuddling, lounging and supervised tummy time while an adult is right there. Health authorities (the AAP and CPSC) are clear that nests and loungers should never be used for sleep.
Can my baby sleep in the nest?
No. Baby nests are not a sleep product. For any sleep — naps or overnight — babies should be placed on their back on a firm, flat surface in a crib, bassinet or play yard. If your baby falls asleep in the nest, move them to their bed.
Why isn't it safe for sleep if it looks so cosy?
The soft, padded, raised sides that make a nest feel snug are exactly what make it unsafe for unsupervised rest — they raise the risk of suffocation and of a baby settling into a position that restricts breathing. That's why it's for awake, watched moments only.
When should I stop using the baby nest?
Stop once your baby starts to roll or push up on their hands, as they can shift into an unsafe position or move out of the nest. Many babies outgrow it in the early months, so it's a short-and-sweet newborn item.
Where should I place the nest?
Always on a firm, flat floor — never on a sofa, bed, or any raised surface, and never in the crib for sleep. Keep it in the same room as you, with your eyes on your baby.
What is it made of?
A soft, breathable cotton cover with a comfortable fill, OEKO-TEX® certified and gentle on newborn skin. Breathable, natural fabric helps keep things cool and comfortable during lounging.
Is the cover washable?
Yes — the cover is removable and machine-washable on a cold, gentle cycle with a mild detergent; air-dry to keep its shape. Easy cleaning is a must with a newborn, so we design for it.
