What age is a teepee tent for?
Our teepees are best from around 2–3 years old, when a child can sit and play independently. Younger toddlers can enjoy the tent too, but only with an adult supervising and with no small toys left inside.
Are teepee tents safe?
Yes, when used as a play space with supervision. A teepee is a play tent, not a sleep space — it should never be used for unsupervised napping or overnight sleep. We use soft, natural cotton and smooth, sturdy wooden poles, and our fabrics are tested to children's safety standards.
Can a baby or toddler sleep in the teepee overnight?
No. A teepee is for supervised play and quiet reading time only. It doesn't meet the ventilation and firmness rules that cribs and toddler beds do, so for sleep your child should always be in their bed.
Is the teepee stable — can it tip over?
Our teepees are built on solid wooden poles for a steady base. Set it up on a flat surface, keep it away from stairs and heaters, and teach children not to climb or pull on the poles. For extra reassurance you can tie the poles at the top so the frame stays firm during active play.
What materials are used, and are they non-toxic?
The canopy is soft, breathable cotton and the frame is smooth natural wood. Our fabrics are OEKO-TEX® certified, meaning they're tested against a long list of harmful substances — gentle on delicate skin and free of harmful chemicals.
Is it easy to assemble?
Yes. Teepees arrive flat and go together in a few minutes without tools — most parents set it up on the first try. It also folds down quickly for storage or travel.
How do I clean a teepee?
Spot-clean the fabric with a damp cloth and mild soap, and wipe the wooden poles with a dry cloth. Where the cover is removable, it can be gently machine-washed on a cool, delicate cycle and air-dried. Avoid bleach and tumble-drying to keep the fabric soft and the colours true.
